What’s the difference?
T-Shirt decal/printing options:
HTV – Vinyl
Use heat transfer materials to customize a variety of apparel including sports jerseys, T-shirts, performance apparel, bags, jackets, and more! This is great for a small number of articles being made with simple designs.
Solid colors are standard, cost will increase due to color layers, prints, mirror and glitter.
Direct To Garment – DTG
The best way to think of DTG is like at-home printing from your computer, except that the paper is replaced with a shirt. The inks bind directly to the fibers of the garment’s material, which is why cotton – a fibrous material – is better for DTG printing than polyester – a much smoother material.
With DTG we can print extremely detailed images. With DTG we do not charge by the color, making full-color printing affordable and the ink binds directly to fibers so it feels more like it’s part of the fabric.
Dye Sublimation:
If you want to print on mugs, license plates and other popular hard surface items then Dye Sublimation printing is the answer! Dye Sublimation, as a process is really very simple. It is the method of applying an image to specially coated ceramics, metals and polyester cloth. This is a permanent process great for clothing and items used indoors!
Pre-Ordered Transfers
Again this process is used to customize a variety of apparel including sports jerseys, T-shirts, performance apparel, bags, jackets, and more! This is great for large orders with 1 – 6 colors.
